Front Range Recreation continues to seek lifeguards for the summer season. They provide free certification classes for those interested, minus only the $45 registration fee. The role includes great benefits, including:

eNews: Sheriff’s Office Investigates Possible Mail Theft

STONEGATE NORTH VILLAGES METROPOLITAN DISTRICT E-NEWS

On Monday, February 7th, a neighbor in the Summerwood pocket neighborhood in Stonegate Village Metro District posted a photo of a black four-door vehicle and reported she had contacted the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office regarding a mail theft incident. The resulting case number with the sheriff’s office is: 22 0000 9636.

In addition, neighbors in the Windrift pocket neighborhood in Stonegate North Villages Metro District have reported three separate incidents, resulting in large piles of leftover, rifled through mail in the street.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the matter. If anyone is aware of information that could help investigators, please reach out to the sheriff’s non-emergency line at 303-660-7505.

In addition, here are a few tips that may be helpful in ensuring resident mail, and household information, is kept safe and secure:

  • Do not leave mail with important information about your family, or your accounts in the mailbox overnight
  • Pick up mail daily, to avoid mail theft and overloading of mailboxes
  • If possible, get to know your carrier and the schedule for delivery

eNews: Update to Tennis Courts and Basketball Court Resurfacing

STONEGATE NORTH VILLAGES METROPOLITAN DISTRICT E-NEWS

Update to Resurfacing of Tennis and Basketball Courts:  Due to the weather, there has been a slight shift in the scheduled resurfacing of both the Stonegate North Villages Metropolitan District tennis courts and our new basketball court. 

Saturday, October 16th
The two tennis courts – and the basketball court – are now scheduled to be resurfaced, weather permitting, on Saturday. The surfaces will need time to cure, but we anticipate being able to re-open both by Tuesday, October 19th

Please be advised that the Colorado Parks & Wildlife team has placed signage in the community alerting residents to coyote sightings in our community.

Colorado is coyote country and there is a lot of information available to residents about the best ways to protect your safety – including being aware of your surroundings, and keeping pets on a leash.
